Dr. Wisot graduated from
Columbia College in New York, received his medical degree from the
University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey before completing
his internship and residency at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center
in New York.
His interest in infertility
led to additional specialized training in microsurgery, laser surgery
and assisted reproductive techniques. He is board certified in Obstetrics
and Gynecology.
Dr. Wisot has had a longstanding
interest in medical communication and serves as a regular media
commentator on health issues. He served as a medical reporter at
Channel 9 in Los Angeles and is host and medical editor of "Physicians'
Journal Update" on Lifetime Medical Television. He also co-authored
two books on fertility treatment with Dr. Meldrum, with whom he
has practiced since 1986. As a clinical professor In the Department
of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UCLA, he is active in teaching residents
and fellows in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.
He and his wife, Phyllis,
have three sons and reside in Rolling Hills Estates.
